Community service is what we do ! You might say we are experts at caring for our neighbors in creative and meaningful ways.
We create ways to serve others such as the Pet Food Pantry, multiple outdoor pantries and a Community Garden. Volunteers get to participate in any or all of these programs and so much more.
ALL ages love the BAG LUNCH OUTREACH program. Groups gather to fill bag lunches to be distributed to the chronically homeless in Rochester through programs sponsored by REACH. Check out their website for more info.

A group made homemade meatballs for the FREE COMMUNITY SUNDAY SUPPER that happens the second Sunday of each month 4:30-5:30. To volunteer at the supper, check our ONGOING PROGRAMS. To attend the supper, just show up 🙂
Sorting Toy Donations for the MILESTONE Program is fun and quite satisfying for those who enjoy getting organized.
THE PET FOOD PANTRY was established by a group of teens who saw a need to distribute dog and cat food to pets in need. Volunteers can come to the pantry and do inventory and fill orders. Also the PFP relies on donations! Your group could hold a drive and then bring the food to the PFP, shelve it and then fill some orders !
Even the youngest in the family can volunteer in the Pet Food Pantry. Older kids and teens mentor the young kiddos. For inventory there is counting and checking expiration dates. Then there’s the fun job of fulfilling pet food requests and placing them in the outdoor pick-up bin. Learning how to use combination locks has been a big deal around here.
For example, we have a monthly Sunday Supper that welcomes volunteers of all ages! We have a Pet Food Pantry that is always in need of individual and group volunteers. There’s also the Community Garden that’s very busy in the Spring and Summer. Pop-up events such as Bag Lunch making, grocery bag filling, care kit making and toy sorting parties are scheduled periodically.
